Tikiopolis Web Services
Tikiopolis has everything one could want --- an active volcano, beaches of
blazing hot sand, razor-sharp coral reefs, venomous creatures of questionable origins
in the jungle interior, and no people!!! Certainly a paradise.
Now you may not be able to visit the real Tikiopolis island, but Nostrodomos wants you to
feel at home at the virtual Tikiopolis, where people chat (Comic Chatters and Text Chatters
living together in harmony) in chat rooms, as well as discuss a myriad of topics in the
discussion forum.
At Tikiopolis, Nostrodomos offers you:

Chat Rooms. Chat in any of the various chat rooms at Tikiopolis concerning
diverse subjects, from Animals to Cooking to News to Mental Health Support to
... <Add Your Topic Here>. If what you are passionate about requires its
very own chat room, you've come to the right place! Request it below. Your chat
room would be accessible via an Internet-capable chat client (such as Comic Chat,
mIRC, and half a million others), or the mighty
Tikiopolis WebChat,
created by Nostrodomos himself (with a little help from the guy who wrote the
Java applet). Yes, you, too, could have your chat room in the
WebChat's dropdown
Chat Room list, and a listing in the
Tikiopolis Chat Room and Forum Directory.
How utterly exciting. Really.

Discussion Forums. Our phpBB powered web board could be known as a bulletin board,
or a discussion board, where any one can talk about anything. If a chat room is not for
you, you interests might better be expressed in a message forum, where people post messages,
and others respond. In a way, it is like an off-line chat room where people need not be
in the room at the same time to have the conversation. You can configure email notifications
to alert you when a "thread" you have posted to receives a reply. Click to poke around the
Tikiopolis Forums. Your forum
would also be listed in the Tikiopolis Chat Room and Forum Directory.

Fault Tolerance. We strive to backup any data part of the
virtual Tikiopolis (such as Forum text, chat server configurations, etc). Soon,
Tikiopolis will expand into a redundant pair of servers which would significantly
reduce any possible server-related outages (and allow us to reboot a node after
operating system patches).
To request a Chat Room or Forum on Tikiopolis:

Rules of Good Behavior for Mortals. The lawyers insist on it.

Fill out the form below, with the details of your request. Magical
Tool Tips will appear if you move your mousepointer over the
description of any text field. Try it!

If you don't want a forum, and only a chat room, or vice versa, just leave
the fields blank.

You'll be contacted back within a couple of days from a Tikiopolis Administrator,
usually less time around the weekend, when there is mercifully more time away
from the day jobs.
